Everything Happens For A Reason - JL

The time has come to explain the origin of TenniScenario.com, all of it's essence, it's uniqueness and it's huge possibilities

The Essence of TenniScenario.com is being in the Business of Ideas and Knowledge

The concept and uniqueness of TenniScenario.com is that you have under the same roof

Online Learning

Online Consulting

Virtual Classroom and Conference

For

Everyone

Everywhere

Everytime

Which makes it an Institution of Exception...

Apart from our so valuable customers, on a monthly basis, we have some 20000 visitors from more than 40 countries that come to our Site as it is our wish to express our Leadership and be able to reach countries from the 6 Continents of the World

THE ORIGIN

TenniScenario.com is a dream I had after a successful career in Coaching when I decided that it was not enough for me, that I needed more to satisfy my inquisitive mind and nature

It was essential to create a Research Center that could express itself through the various domains that complement and support the Profession of Coaching

I had an ardent desire to make everything I could to improve the Profession of Coaching, to bring it to higher standards, provide new tools for Coaches to express themselves better in their Functions and Roles

I also felt that we demanded so much more from the Athletes and that the Coaching Profession stagnated, that in general Coaches had a sufficiency Attitude and for me this situation was not acceptable

So I needed to find a proper medium to express the fruit of my Research, place myself in a position to Create, allow my Imagination to express itself, having the Vision to bring it all globally

For me there can be two kinds of Geniuses and it serves the Paradox of the Specialist vs the Generalist:

The Specialist who restrain so much his field of study that he eventually knows everything on hardly anything

And the Generalist who has broaden so much his field of study that he eventually knows hardly anything on everything

The enormous challenge is not to fall in any of those categories as I had seen to many of them in the world of tennis, education, teaching and sports in general

There was also reality that struck me so much and I found it absurd is that throughout the whole process of the development of the athlete in general, the human development is hardly taken care of. More then ever the psych has been taken care of but in my mind, it is not enough

To take care of all the above and to transmit it all globally, I found the proper medium to achieve it and it came through the science called Artificial Intelligence, which allows to develop Expert Systems, making those systems "intelligent" to perform a task that would otherwise be performed by a human expert and allowing to make decisions in real life situations

An example of such a system would be one that could help doctors diagnose diseases based on symptoms...

To be able to develop an Artificial Intelligence System you need to possess a Development Shell which provides the facility of building a Knowledge Tree, a Knowledge Base and a very strong Inference Engine which allows the System to arrive at the proper conclusion

Which brings us to the necessity of planning for the reasons as to why we wish to develop an Expert System and they can be for the following objectives:

Diagnosis

Prediction based on known facts

Knowledge acquisition

Knowledge production

Knowledge transmission

Evaluation of contexts or individuals

In the last 25 years, the rule based expert system approach to automating complex decision-making tasks has proven to be by far the most effective, reliable and proven way to capture and deliver the logic and process of human experts to solve complex problems. If you ask an expert how he/she makes a particular decision, in most cases, he/she will explain it in "If/Then" style rules. This is the natural way of people to think and describe how they made a decision. It is the same way that rules are written in an Expert System at TenniScenario.com

At TenniScenario.com we had a team of Engineers to develop for us an Expert System Shell which had to regroup the following qualities:

Rapid application development process

Powerful programming yet flexible

Knowledge tree building

Rules generation building

Expression of values: multivalued qualitative, qualitative, true/false, quantitative

Determination of values through: deduction, questioning, database

Last but not least an extremely powerful Inference Engine

The challenge to build such a powerful tool was achieved and it is the most effective way to present with all the possible cases and capture a much wider scope of knowledge in a domain of expertise

In addition to rules, the Inference Engine is what drives the end user interaction. It determines what information is needed to reach a conclusion, whether the needed information can be derived from lower level rules and what to ask of the user. It processes user input to analyze the data, including using probabilistic rules to consider the "likelihood" of various options and in the end, generates recommendations and advice based on the same logic and process as a human expert in the domain the system was built. The inference engine drives an interactive session with the user, asking questions as needed in a focused way that emulates a conversation with the human expert

DEVELOPMENT STAGES OF AN EXPERT SYSTEM

First, you have to establish a team which usually consists of the Knowledge Engineer, the Domain Expert(s) and a team of programmers

Second, you need to establish the king of purpose you wish to develop the Expert System: Knowledge Acquisition, Knowledge Production, Control of Operations, Predictive Scenarios, Evaluation of Contexts or Individuals, Diagnosis

Third, you need to have an Expert System Shell, which will serve to develop the Expert System Program, using the Artificial Intelligence Science

Fourth, the Knowledge Engineer has to establish the Knowledge Acquisition Process which is extracting knowledge or expertise from a human expert in order to formalize it in machine-interpretable code, generally in the form of decisions rules

Fifth, the Knowledge Engineer, after he has gathered all the knowledge in the domain of expertise for which the Expert System will be developed, has to construct the Knowledge Tree and program the rules, "if-then" rules, which will manage the functioning of the system. During this stage are also built all the interfaces which will be available to the user, once the Expert System will be completed and operational

Sixth, once the Knowledge Tree and all the decisions rules have been completely developed, the Knowledge Engineer has to formulate all the "conclusion messages" which will be given by the system, when utilized, will provide to the end user

And the last phase is the testing of the system. To give you an idea of such a serious test would be to give you a possible scenario of a System. Let’s just say that an Expert System, developed in a domain of expertise, would contain a small quantity of 500 questions or situations to be tested

The final test of the system consists of asking all the 500 questions, all at once, to test the knowledge tree, it’s structure for any mistake or error. If there is one, the system will crash. If we were to ask 500 questions to an expert at the same time, we know that it would be impossible for a human being to do so. That gives you an idea of the immense power of an Expert System constructed under Artificial Intelligence

THE DEVELOPMENT HISTORY AT TENNISCENARIO AND IT'S UNIQUENESS

When I founded TenniScenario.com it was my desire to do Research in the domains which are compatible with Sports, Education, Teaching, Coaching, Sport Sciences, Human Development, Mental Development and from that build the tools that could produce Knowledge Management and Knowledge Production and the required Environment to support those processes

I had to give my best shot for the development of the first Expert System which would serve as the foundation for all the other Expert Systems that would eventually be developed at the Center...

This Expert System had to incorporate two main avenues:

Idea Generation

Questioning Generation

And it turns out that it incorporates the following:

An organized storehouse of more than 65000 words, phrases and concepts familiar to modern society

30 Major Categories grouping subject matter such as philosophy, attitudes, behaviors, personal resources, actions, emotions, communication, sciences, domains, professions

440 Topical Categories subdivided into section titles in order to pursue specific aspects of subject matters

The cross-referencing of this System can produce more than 3/4 of a million direct associations and an infinite number of indirect associations

It is programmed so that it can be added a personal Idea Generation and Questioning Generation

To me questioning is an Art and if you ask the right questions, it will lead you to the right answers...

So far we have developed 30 Expert Systems at TenniScenario.com in the following domains:

Education, Sport Sciences, Sport Psychology, Coaching Science, Teaching Science, Human Development, Attentional Demands, Human Resources, Character Development, Motor Learning, Theory and Methodology of Training, Annual Planning for Athletes, Personal Effectiveness Development, Mental Preparation And Fitness, Philosophy

These Systems are all located in the TenniScenario.com Campus in the Education Department in Online Learning and Online Consulting

IN THE END

After spending the last 15 years in Research and Development, it will be time to go back to my passions which are Teaching and Coaching on the Tour

To provide Resourcefulness, a Path of Knowledge, Vision , Wisdom and most of all Caring...

In the process showing what it is to observe through the different lens of perception, showing the way of an ideal of Understanding

When you have reached the twilight of your life, you look at the world not in the same way as in your younger years and you have so much more foresight, anticipation and vision

Bringing all that through an Attitude of Generosity and Usefulness with those I am involved with

It would certainly have to be with an Athlete of Exception so that I can be challenged and realize something of Exception

Teaching also is an option with an Institution/Federation to provide support for it's Coaching Staff in order to provide a culture of Human Excellence and Refinement throughout the nation, building a Creative and Collaborative Environment

Teaching the IMPORTANCE of things but most of all WHAT IS IMPORTANT...

Of course all the above situations would receive the total support from TenniScenario.com
